Pixar And DreamWorks Trailers

One of the things that can intrigue viewers to see a new movie, would be the trailers. Sometimes, they’d show good clips without giving away the twists, they’d give away some of the best jokes and sometimes they tell the whole story. There are two companies that had rather unique ways of promoting their upcoming movies and those two companies were DreamWorks Animation and Pixar. One company had behind the scenes type of trailers and the other had unique trailers, that gave the animators a chance to have fun with their work. I remember seeing them when I was growing up, and I enjoyed them. I’m thrilled to talk about them and I hope they will spark many memories for you too!

DreamWorks

DreamWorks Animation in the 2000s decade were having an interesting time. They had released their first movie with Aardman and then they released a certain movie about a green ogre, that changed animation. After having trouble with their hand drawn movies, they decided to make CG movies going forward, and when they did, they promoted them rather uniquely, these trailers would usually be seen on DVDs and/or VHS tapes. The trailers would consist of behind-the-scenes footage with one of the main actors hosting a sneak peek on the film, they would talk about the movie, mention some of the other characters and who their voice actors are and maybe, add a little humor to it, you could also see work in progress animation, some scenes that weren’t in the movie or alternate bits. For the last two films DreamWorks did with Aardman, they had the narrator share the things the celebrities in the DreamWorks trailers talked about, and the directors and actor(s) would too. Plus if there was a sequel they’d just have the actors that promoted the predecessor or maybe do something fun to promote it. Get ready for some 2000s nostalgia!

Madagascar

This sneak peek was on the Shrek 2 DVD/VHS. After people’s eyes burnt and ears bled after seeing the Shark Tale trailer, they were a bit relived when they saw Ben Stiller introducing himself and he’s standing around some boxes with the title on it. He spoke about the movie, mentioned who his character is without saying his name, (so a lot of people didn’t know his name until the movie came out), he mentions the name of Alex’s friends and who their voice actors are (I can’t help but giggle when he mentions that we all know David Schwimmer (Melman) from a TV show, that he doesn’t know the name of, I know he was joking, he was in an episode of that show, an episode I cannot take seriously thanks to this movie) and they showed a couple of iconic moments like Marty talking to the penguins and the Zoosters in the crates. The trailer ends off with Ben showing how to get to Madagascar with a globe and tells the audience sarcastically but rather sincerely that they will love it. It was a rather nice trailer with Ben’s typical, sarcastic humor, showing the iconic moments we still remember today and some scenes either not in the movie or in different animation, for example, the part where Melman freaks out over nature being all over him, in this trailer it had him stuck in a flower vine rather than leaves like in the movie, and it could excite viewers. Plus, the logo was much different, you’ll have to see the trailer to see it. Plus you could get a good laugh, especially because after this trailer, came one of the most iconic DVD menus (I dare you to watch Donkey annoy everyone and not laugh your heads off). While people complained about the opening previews being unskippable, at least they got a good idea of what was to come the next year, this trailer was worth not being able to go to the menu right away. I remember seeing this trailer a lot, I initially wasn’t interested, but after I saw it a couple times before I got the DVD, I really enjoyed it and when I saw that trailer again, it was so cool, and nice to see it, now that I know what happened in the film.

Wallace And Gromit: The Curse Of The Were Rabbit

This sneak peek was on the Shark Tale VHS/DVD. After laughing their butts off at the Madagascar trailer (that showed some of the best parts, like the zoosters singing Happy Birthday to Marty with the monkeys hearing the last part of the song and Alex getting attacked by the old lady, “Bad Kitty!”) viewers got a big surprise, that Wallace and Gromit were finally coming to the big screen. As the second movie DreamWorks did with Aardman, and Aardman finally giving their iconic duo their first movie, the companies promoted it by showing how the stop motion works, and how hard but rewarding it is to bring this movie to life, and even showing who the new characters are and their voice actors (Ralph Finnes as Victor Quartermaine and Helena Bonham Carter as Lady Tottington or Tottie as she asks Wallace to call him) and director Nick Park showing pride and joy in bringing his beloved characters to life and on the big screen, all while you get background music from Chicken Run or some of the Wallace And Gromit shorts, like the train chase music from The Wrong Trousers. I remember when I used to watch Shark Tale a lot when I was 7 and I always saw that preview (like the Shrek 2 DVD, the previews were unskippable) and I thought it was cool, even though it took me years to finally see it, it was so cool seeing how stop motion works and it did get me interested in Wallace And Gromit.

Over The Hedge

This trailer was on the Madagascar VHS/DVD. It had Steve Carell, the voice of Hammy the squirrel talking about the movie, he mentioned who the characters are, interviewing Bruce Willis briefly, and you can even see some work in progress animation, it’s interesting to see what it looks like on the computers compared to the final colours you see in the theatre or at home. The best part is seeing Steve interact with Hammy, from throwing him a nut and seeing Hammy burp his ABCs, it was for sure very funny, it could get viewers excited to see yet another talking animals comedy from DreamWorks, (while preparing to watch a talking animals comedy) and once it did come out it would be fun to see. Plus, it’s interesting now, seeing Steve Carrel doing a different voice over role, 4 years before he was Gru in the Despicable Me movies.

Flushed Away

This trailer was on the Wallace And Gromit: The Curse Of The Were Rabbit VHS/DVD. Having already released their Wallace And Gromit movie, DreamWorks and Aardman had been set to release their next movie, a movie with a few milestones. It was Aardman’s first computer animated movie (the reason was because the movie contains a lot of water, which is a major hurdle for stop motion), their first movie to be rated PG (how Chicken Run was given a G rating is beyond me, don’t take this the wrong way, I love Chicken Run, but I would not recommend little kids watching it without their parents) and it was also their last movie with DreamWorks. The trailer was kind of neat, it was interesting to see the Aardman crew work on computers while also trying to make the characters look like the classic stop motion style you saw in the previous Aardman shorts and movies, you’d see the directors describing the characters, you’d see some scenes that weren’t in the movie, like Rita performing a wrestling move on Roddy after their second handshake, you can once again, see some work in progress animation and best of all, you can briefly see a little talk from The Greatest Showman himself, Hugh Jackman! Be prepared ladies! I wish I had Curse Of The Were Rabbit on DVD, if I did, that was how I could’ve found out about this movie, rather than seeing the trailer on the Over The Hedge DVD, not that it was a bad way for me to find out about it, but the behind the scenes would’ve made it more exciting for me, plus I could see the face of my darling Hugh a couple of times, and I would’ve been in love without knowing it. This trailer sadly didn’t seem to excite viewers as it bombed at the box office, due to bad marketing and not only did DreamWorks lose a lot of money, but along with having creative differences DreamWorks and Aardman had ended their partnership, in other words, DreamWorks lost their Pixar (although even if it hadn’t flopped, their partnership still would’ve gone sour, because of the creative clashes they had when also working on Curse Of The Were Rabbit) but it has gained a cult following, so it worked fine in the future.

Bee Movie

Now, I don’t like this movie, but for good sportsmanship, I’ll talk about this one.

This preview was on the Over The Hedge DVD. Surprisingly, the work in progress was not on for the next movie after the next movie (in this case, Shrek The Third, though there is a sneak peek for it, which is basically a recap of the first two movies while finishing with a brief clip with Donkey getting excited for a third adventure) it was their movie for next year, Bee Movie. It featured Jerry Seinfeld giving an idea about what the film was about, it showed some scenes animated differently, like the scene where Barry and Adam are talking about their bee friend Frankie’s death and how his death was foolish, it had them walking instead of being in the car, like in the movie, (plus along with hearing some kids in elementary school saying that bees die after stinging someone, it got me to ask my mom if it was true which she said it was and explained why) and a few scenes that weren’t in the movie like Barry yelling, “Jackpot” when he sees a flower. Plus to end it off, it had the narrator announcing that it was coming in November 2007, much to Barry’s dismay, I used to agree with him, but now I consider it a blessing that I had to wait for it. If any of you like it, you are free to do so.

Kung Fu Panda

This sneak peek was on the Shrek The Third DVD. After releasing another Shrek sequel, DreamWorks decided to give a sneak peek to their next franchise, Kung Fu Panda and boy was it awesome! It had Jack Black introducing himself, referencing a couple of his previous roles (he mentioned riffing on guitar, or smacking down in the ring, see if you can guess), showing off some Kung Fu moves, giving a funny little narration as he describes the synopsis, he also mentions some of the characters and who their voice actors are, and of course, being his wacky and goofy self that makes him all the more lovable. Plus, there were some scenes that weren’t in the movie like the part where Po enters the training hall for the first time, the trailer shows him going, “Oh, yeah! It’s the Five!” instead of smiling big when seeing them train and some scenes were animated differently, like the part where the Furious Five stare at Po before he fails at his first attempt, in the trailer Tigress has her arms folded while in the movie, she has her hands on her hips. This trailer at least to me, was wacky and entertaining, plus knowing Jack Black and Angelina Jolie were going to be voice acting for DreamWorks again and the former’s energy had me more than eager to go see it. The trailers did have viewers thinking it would be dumb, especially with the title, but when it did come out, it surprised them with how funny and deep it was with wisdom we can still carry today, it reminded viewers to never judge a book by it’s cover and also to drop some master Kung Fu, sucka! Jack Black’s words, not mine.

Madagascar Escape 2 Africa

This sneak peek was on the Bee Movie DVD. When Madagascar became a success financially, DreamWorks decided to give it a sequel, with a different title, Madagascar The Crate Escape. This trailer once again, had Ben Stiller hosting, but this time, instead of standing by crates, he was standing in the jungle and gave the viewers a brief recap of the first movie and then show some scenes that were in a lot of the trailers, like the Zoosters singing, “I Like To Move It Move it!” (though for some reason, they cut out Marty’s verse) and the penguins finding out that they’re out of fuel and the engines have stopped, then the plane falls causing everyone but Gloria (who was getting her beauty sleep) to scream, then have a safe parachute landing and cue the penguins celebrating and then arguing with Alex about how long it will take to fix the plane. It was an exciting trailer, especially for those who enjoyed the first movie, plus, one could’ve gotten some nostalgia seeing Ben promote it once again. I remember when I saw this trailer, once I saw Ben Stiller, I knew that meant more Madagascar and I was so excited. I was disappointed when I saw that I would have to wait until November but it was all worth it!

Kung Fu Panda 2

One more.

This sneak peek was on the Shrek Forever After DVD. This one was a bit different, they didn’t show any clips from the movie, but they did show Jack Black training and then it shows him cooking too. He talks about how the heart of a good soup is the relationship between the ingredients, like the heart of a good movie is the relationship between the characters. He shows five different vegetables, giving them each the names of the Furious Five and does some awesome moves while chopping and cutting them, then he put the veggies in the pot, put some noodles in (while hearing Mr. Ping laugh) and finally, Jack adding some awesomeness, Skadoosh! He showed how all of those things put together, makes it all the more awesome than ever! It even ends with a blooper from Jack! Gotta love him. This was a nice trailer, you get some awesomeness and wackiness from JB, and it was enough to get viewers excited to see Po and the Five once again!

And that concludes the DreamWorks trailers.

Pixar

As good as DreamWorks can be, they cannot top Pixar Animation Studios and I adored the way they promoted their movies, you could usually see them on one of their VHS or DVDs to promote their next movie. I grew up seeing these trailers a lot, and I’d like to talk about some of them. Feel free to comment if you remember them.

Monsters Inc

I’m sure a lot of you remember seeing it on the Toy Story 2 VHS or DVD. This trailer had the late James Coburn, the voice of Mr. Waternoose narrating about how once parents tuck their children into bed and turn the lights off and then monsters are hiding in their closets waiting to scare them, but they do it because it’s just their jobs. Then the closet struggles to open and then Mike and Sulley fall onto the floor and then realize that there’s no kid in there, they look at the schedule and Mike misreads Mongolia much to Sulley’s annoyance, who reminds Mike that in 5th grade, he was passing notes while everyone else was studying geography.

Note: now there are some continuity issues in there when it comes to the prequel, Mike was the hard worker while Sulley was the slacker, and they met in college, but keep in mind, these teasers are not exactly meant to be canon, they’re just ways for the animators to have some fun while getting viewers excited for what was to come.

Now back to the trailer

Mike goes on a rant about his one eye, Sulley tries to butter him up then Mike tries to get Sulley to guess what planet he is while spinning with a hula hoop before Sulley leaves to go back to the break room. Mike comes across a dog and freaks out until Sulley grabs him to get him out of the room.

This was a nice trailer, Pixar gave us an idea of who the main characters are and it was definitely exciting. Plus Pixar showed guts in playing music from Midnight Run in the trailer, a nice bonus for the adults and it all got viewers excited to come to the cinema to see one of Pixar’s sweetest and endearing movies.

Finding Nemo

I’m sure a lot of you remember seeing this on the Monsters Inc VHS/DVD. This trailer played a scene that was different than in the movie. It had Marlin and Dory swimming in the ocean, Dory is being her usual bubbly, cheerful self, we get the idea that Dory is forgetful and then Marlin tells her to stay where she is while he goes to ask for directions, he comes across a school of fish that make shapes together, he tells them that he needs to get to the East Australian Current aka, the EAC, but as they show him the direction, Dory suddenly pops out, playfully scaring the fish off, she giggles until she sees Marlin not looking happy, and misunderstands it for not giving him a turn and Marlin loses it.

If you’ve seen Nemo, you probably know this is not what happened in the movie. Marlin was unable to get the fish school’s attention and tried to gently part ways with Dory, only to end up hurting her feelings. The moonfish see her crying and try to cheer her up by doing impressions, making shapes of a swordfish, a lobster, an octopus and even mocking Marlin for his uptight nature. The moonfish are eager to help when Dory asks them how to get to Sydney, they show the way to get there, tell Marlin to loosen up and warn Dory to swim through the trench not over it. Then, well you know the rest.

This was a nice trailer it does give the viewers an idea of who Marlin and Dory are and gives nice visuals to bring viewers into an underwater world you might feel like you can actually swim in it. I had already gotten into Nemo when I was getting into Monsters Inc, so I loved seeing the trailer even if it was different.

Plus, the trailer also used music from Scent Of A Woman, probably to promote Thomas Newman’s music, since he did the music for Scent Of A Woman and was going to be doing the score for Nemo, such a nice touch!

The Incredibles

This was on the Finding Nemo VHS/DVD.

The trailer showed pictures and newspapers of Mr. Incredible’s adventures in his current super suit, then he receives a phone call, that they need his help. He puts his suit on but struggles to put his belt on because of his plus sized body, he struggles and struggles, until he tries to suck in and it works, for a few seconds, then the belt pops off and knocks him to the ground. The difference between this and the movie was that Bob had a different suit in his glory days, and he had gotten into shape before he got the current suit but it still is a funny trailer, good enough to get people to want to go to see an incredible movie from Pixar.

Ratatouille

This was shown on many DVDs, like Cars, Cinderella 3 and the Peter Pan 2007 DVD.

After the success of The Incredibles, Brad Bird took over a project from Pixar about a rat who wanted to be a chef.

The teaser had a waiter in a restaurant in Paris, present different cheeses on a trolley, but then sees Remy taking some and the waiters and the chefs chase him out of the restaurant. The chase scene is briefly paused with Remy narrating his first line in the movie. “This is me. I think it’s apparent I need to rethink my life a little bit.” Then it cuts to Remy talking about liking good food which isn’t easy for a rat to find, which his dad disapproves of him being picky about eating garbage. Then Remy sees his brother Emile eating garbage, much to Remy’s disgust and Remy mentions how easy but dangerous it is to find good food in Paris, with his family telling him to rethink his life. This trailer is interesting, looking back where in the final film, a few lines from the trailer were used but with different visuals and gave us a brief idea about what it was about, though it doesn’t show Remy wanting to be a chef.

Now, I forgot to mention earlier, that some of those trailers were also shown theatrically. I might’ve seen the Incredibles teaser when I saw Finding Nemo in cinemas, but it was such a long time and I was so little, so it’s hard to remember, if any of you did see any of the aforementioned trailers in cinemas, feel free to comment.

I think I might’ve seen the Ratatouille trailer in cinemas in late 2006 or early 2007, I think I saw it when I saw Flushed Away with my mom, if that was the case, how funny I was seeing a sneak peek of Pixar’s rat movie, while getting ready to see DreamWorks and Aardman’s rat movie, sweet! The trailer looked fine, but one night, the weekend before it came out, Finding Nemo was playing on TV and they showed a clip from the teaser and then it showed the theatrical trailer that gave a true idea of what was to come and it got me really interested and weeks later, I finally saw it and I loved it. It still inspires me to follow my dreams no matter what the limit is and I hope it inspires you too.

WALL-E

This isn’t one of my favourite Pixar movies but it’s worth mentioning.

This was seen on the Ratatouille DVD. The trailers begins with director Andrew Stanton talking about a lunch he had in 1994 with John Lasseter, Pete Docter and the late Joe Ranft discussing more ideas for movies, since they were finishing Toy Story, those ideas turned into A Bug’s Life, Monsters Inc, Finding Nemo and WALL-E. Then, it shows WALL-E making garbage cubes and looking up at the sky before he says his name as the title shows up. The opening bit in that trailer is worth the watch, especially if you’re a Pixar fan.

Up

This was on the WALL-E DVD. This trailer was very simple, it just shows the sky and a few balloons and then you see a bunch of balloons carrying a house, then you see Carl Fredricksen sitting on the porch and he says, “Afternoon,” to the audience before they show the title. This trailer was rather simple but still nice to see, when Pixar released more trailers they got more excited while also being unprepared for the emotions that would come with it. It seems that Pixar’s simplicity was good enough to get viewers excited.

Toy Story 3

This was on the Up DVD. The trailer had the Green Army Men telling Woody the troops were ready, then Woody calls his friends to bring some materials to make something. Bullseye had a ball, the aliens had lego like blocks, Rex had Christmas lights, Woody gave Slink some red paper, the Potato Heads carry a chalkboard and Jessie had a pogo stick. The toys put all the materials together to make the title of the movie which looked impressive, but then Buzz reveals he made a title that looks a lot like the movie’s title you see, impressing the toys and making Woody jealous, especially when it glows in the dark. It ends with Buzz allowing Woody to use the magnet letters to show when the movie would be released, which did look really nice but when he leaves, Buzz changes it to the style of the “Toy” part of the title only for Woody to say offscreen that he saw that, Buzz chuckles sheepishly before leaving.

The trailer didn’t give us an idea of what was to come, but it was enough to get viewers excited that toys were back in town. I remember when I saw that trailer when I saw Up, and my family and I were excited and eager to see it the next year, knowing how well done and emotional it was, made it worth the wait.

Monsters University

This trailer played very similar to the MI trailer I mentioned earlier, it had similar narration and Sulley was in a shadowy figure, getting ready to scare someone, only for him to pull the covers and see Mike sleeping while making up and excuse in his sleep, Sulley takes some glue and gives an evil laugh. It’s revealed that Sulley put some glittery decorations on mike and uses him as a disco ball for a frat party. While there is a major plot hole in the movie about Sulley being jealous of Mike since fourth grade (though it was probably exaggerated) it did still get viewers excited for a rather decent prequel to Monsters Inc with a unique message.

Inside Out

This trailer was very creative. Pixar showed various clips from their movies, showing characters feel different emotions, like joy, fear, anger, disgust and of course sadness. It would make Pixar fans feel nostalgia and maybe cry when it shows the sad moments like Boo hugging Sulley goodbye, Carl reading Ellie’s message and Woody saying, “So long, partner,” get your tissues. Then it shows a young girl and her parents, then we go into her head where we meet 5 emotions, Joy, Sadness, Anger, Disgust and Fear. It then shows Joy giving everyone a group hug, which Anger wasn’t happy with.

The trailer was enough to excite viewers for the movie, from the clips from previous Pixar movies, and showing neat visuals while playing Areosmith’s, “Sweet Emotion.” I remember when I saw that trailer I really wanted to see it, and once I did, it was worth 8 months of waiting, it was relatable and it sometimes had me in tears.

Finding Dory

Oh my goodness, this trailer. This trailer showed Dory talking in her sleep saying, “Don’t cry Mommy, don’t cry,” then you see Marlin and Nemo sleeping in the anemone, Nemo is awoken by Dory, he sees she’s missing and finds her sleep swimming, Marlin sleepily comes out and puts her back in her home and then the two clownfish see her swim off again and go after her. Then another bit has her saying she remembered something and goes on about it, until she remembers her family and has to find them. It ends with her saying she remembered something but she tries to guess what she remembered only for Marlin to tell her no.

This trailer was so great! It had viewers nostalgic and maybe emotional especially if they saw Finding Nemo when they were little kids and it had them so excited to see Marlin, Nemo and Dory appear on the big screen again, especially since Dory was the protagonist in this one, since she was possibly everyone’s favourite character for her goofy, bubbly personality and for her encouraging everyone to just keep swimming, no matter what. I remember seeing this trailer and I was so happy to see these characters again, since Finding Nemo was probably my favourite childhood movie, I even asked my dad to come with me, since he took me to see Nemo and we enjoyed it. It was so fun and emotional and even now I still love it. The way it talks about disability and how to embrace it, rather than see it as a problem, it’s a nice message.

Incredibles 2

This trailer had viewers hyped. It just showed Jack Jack crawling and walking, while using his laser eyes to put a line on the “I” logo before showing the title, then it shows Bob so excited about his baby son having powers, but then Jack Jack sneezes and his laser eyes burn part of Bob’s hair off. There was a clip like that in the movie that plays the same way, it’s after Jack Jack fights the raccoon, and instead of burning Bob’s hair off, Bob just says, “Oh, my gosh,” before he gets a phone call from Helen to tell him she saved a train. This trailer wasn’t much but it was exciting to see this super family come back to the big screen and see more action from them, plus, it meant seeing more of Jack Jack’s powers which we had seen briefly in the first movie and in the short Jack Jack Attack. I think it was worth the wait.

Toy Story 4

The trailer has all the characters play ring around the rosy, you see Woody, Buzz, Jessie, Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head, Hamm, Slinky, an alien and a new character, Forky, who shouts that he doesn’t belong here, causing everyone to crash into each other.

There was another one where Ducky and Bunny, voiced by Peele and Key, going on about the new Toy Story movie coming out, then they try to remember Buzz’s classic catchphrase then Buzz and Woody tell them what it really is only for them to laugh it off.

The trailers were rather strange, but it did have a fine way to get people a bit excited, to see the toys again, though some were also unsure because of how beautiful and emotional the last movie was, especially the ending. I will admit to being a bit unsure, but once the regular trailers premiered, I felt emotional and got interested, and I will say it was worth it, it even might be my favourite of the 4. DreamWorks, take notes, this is how to make a fourth movie, Pixar gave us a sequel that gave a nice comeback to Bo Peep and gave Woody’s story some interesting closure, with an ending that I find more emotional than the third movie’s ending.

Onward

The trailer showed a magical and mystical world with flying unicorns and mermaids and then it shows how times have changed, where you see mystical creatures doing modern things, then we see an elf named Ian coming home from school and texting on his iPhone, and gets licked by his pet dragon Blazey, and his mother sprays the pet before she sends her back to her lair. Then, we see his big brother Barley in his van, calling Ian to go on a quest with him, Ian is about to take out the trash, but then he sees that the lid was open and unicorns have eaten the garbage much to Ian’s disgust.

The trailer had mixed reactions, some thought it looked neat, some thought it looked like a DreamWorks movie. I was really amazed to see the trailer and I was really excited to see it, once I saw it during quarantine, I really enjoyed it for how emotional it was and it was magical too. It’s such a shame it bombed due to being in the wrong place at the wrong time die to being released a week before the world shut down due to Covid, so it’s time in cinemas was sadly short lived.

Soul

The teaser has Jamie Foxx narrating where he asks, what you want to be known for and how to spend life doing the things that bring the real you and have passion, where you can contribute to the world in a very meaningful way, whilst his character Joe plays the piano, then he calls for a barber appointment only for him to fall in a manhole and turn into a soul and meets 22 who wants to be known for a cowboy dance maybe.

This trailer did receive some controversy due to having a black protagonist only for him to be in another form, like in The Princess And The Frog but as they saw it, they felt deep emotions. The movie had a message about how while it’s good to have goals, don’t get too caught up in achieving it, always remember to appreciate the small things in life, the ones you love, the small things you do like eating Pizza or experiences you’ve had, it’s especially meaningful in a judgemental society that expects us to have a certain career or be wealthy, even more meaningful coming from Pete Docter, the guy who directed Monsters Inc, Up and Inside Out. It’s too bad it went straight to Disney Plus due to being released during Covid, however…..

This year the Disney Plus Pixar movies (Soul and Turning Red) got re released in cinemas (Luca’s re release is next week), and they finally got to be seen on the big screen as they should’ve been. This decade has not been kind to Pixar so far, thankfully Elemental did well financially and hopefully, this, the re releases and Inside Out 2 will help bring them back up on their feet.

And that concludes the Pixar teasers.

Conclusion

All those trailers were great examples of how great promotional material can attract viewers.

DreamWorks made some good teasers after those trailers I talked about earlier, like the Kung Fu Panda 2 staring contest trailer, and the teaser for Rise Of The Guardians without Jack Frost, the latter especially got me excited to see Hugh voice act for DreamWorks again.

Call me biased, but I am looking forward to what Pixar has installed for the future, Inside Out 2 looks exciting, we never saw what happens when one hits puberty there, and I still think Pixar is strong. DreamWorks, on the other hand, I’m not looking forward to anymore, having seen clips from Kung Fu Panda 4 gives me a feeling that they’re running out of ideas for the franchise, especially after hearing about the troubled production, but I do wish the best for DreamWorks.

If you disagree with me, you’re free to do so.

Thanks for reading, I hope this sparked some childhood nostalgia for you!

If you remember any of those, feel free to comment and share your memories with them!
